About ChairCalm

Built for patients.
By a patient.

ChairCalm started in the dialysis chair. Not in a boardroom, not in a lab. In the chair, three times a week, where the frustration of not having the right tools was most real.

"Dialysis patients don't wake up wanting to do dialysis. They wake up wanting to survive the day."

Why ChairCalm Exists

The problem was personal

During hemodialysis treatment, a lot happens in a short time. Symptoms can change quickly. Fluid gains need tracking. Family members want to know you're okay. And care teams are busy with a full floor of patients.

ChairCalm was built to close the gap between what patients experience and what care teams know. It gives patients a structured way to log how they feel, track session data, and flag their nurse when something feels off. It lets family members stay informed without calling the center every session.

Everything in ChairCalm was designed from the perspective of someone who actually sits in the chair โ€” because that's who built it.

Important

What ChairCalm is not

ChairCalm is a personal awareness and communication tool. It is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice. It does not replace the guidance of your care team. Always follow your nephrologist's and dialysis care team's instructions.
